It is tune with a Dyno Jet Power Commander. How would I know if that is an issue? I need it on the bike to manage the needed extra fuel, right?

I am most likely pulling the Hayden out but I will reserve making that decision until I open it up and inspect.

Pull it off and reconnect your O2 sensors. If that solves the problem, then you're good.

FWIW, the IAT sensor and the MAP sensor are two different things, and neither of them is a MAF sensor.

OK I played with it some today. The throttle body was nasty. I used 2 cans of carb cleaner to get the funk out. The oil vapor lines are now routed underneath.
The surge is still there some. I am not certain how bad because I was riding solo. It seems to be worse 2 up with gear.
I checked the intake and all looks good. he plug on top was still there and no apparent intake leaks.
I pulled the Hayden tensioner and checked the belt deflection. All is good on that front.

Someone posted plug the O2 sensors back in to see if it corrects the problem. I am assuming I can do that with the Dyno Jet PC still hooked up? If so then why wouldn't the tuner leave them hooked up?
I still think the bike is surging because it is lean. The pass side slip on is discoloring and I know it should not be doing that. I will not see my tuner again until Oct so I am concerned about riding it all summer that way.

I still

In the top of the inside of the throttle body is a tiny hole. That's your IAT. Did you clean that out as well? I would assume if you did, you did it with the little red straw that came with the carb cleaner? If not, spray that carb cleaner in there really good til it flow clear.

As for the o2 sensors, the eliminators are small plugs with a set value resister embedded in them that plug into your stock wiring harness to fool the ECM that the o2 sensors are still there. So I would say yes, you'd have issues if you remove them without removing the entire PCV from the system.

Todd,

I didn't pull the throttle body but thinking I might need to. It was nasty in there. I used 2 cans of cleaner before it came out clear. I see the sensor coming in from the top and it was black. I did the best I could without pulling it. That may have to be the next step. We are leaving the 10th for a 4 day no destination in mind guys ride, so I would like to get it straightened out before then.
