I went to put my hitch on an 07 Ultra, it is a ghost hitch I had on my 03, I noticed my tire is not centered in the fender. When the hitch was on I had about 3/4 inch space between it and the tire on the right side, but could not slide a piece of cardboard between it and the tire on the left side without rubbing. I called the dealer to question centering the wheel and was told this was normal to balance out the bike, and that with the wider tire on the newer bikes this is a common problem. This doesnt seem right to me. Even without the hitch I only have about 1/4 inch of room. Just the flex in the tire this should rub I think. They said dont pull a trailer, which was expected, If this is right I will just go with a narrower tire. Anybody else have this problem, or are the blowing smoke?
