Default Street glide wheel replacements

Does anybody know if Mirror Chrome Thunderstars (rims)from my 2002 Fatboy will fit onto a 2007 Street Glide? I would like to replace these rims onto my new bike.

I am pretty sure the Axle size is bigger on the Streetglide.

Comparing the HD web catalog only the rear could be used on a touring bike but only 2000-2001, as suggested above I think it was an axle size change and the front issue is probably the difference between dual disk brakes and the Softail single disk.

I had a similar question so I went to my dealer. After a long consult with the head mechanic and the parts book they determined that the wheels would not fit. Well, actually they said they could make anything fit with a hammer and a torch, but they wouldn't ride it. Apparently the spacers on the softails are off center and the spacers on touring bikes are more in the middle. I think it's to accomodate the dual rotor set up on the front wheel. As for the rear whell, I didn't get that far. Good Luck

They will fit. Change out the bearings to 1" bearings($60.00 per set) Get your spacing correct(spacers are available in a multitude of widths) Change out your front brake master cylinder to a single disk style(smaller internal bore) and away you go. Do not let anyone tell you other wise. I have a FB rear wheel on mine as we speak.
