I just put a 18/21 combo on my bike, and the rear is supposed to be the very close to the same height, the front rim will raise the front end about 1 1/4" (tire is about 2 1/2" taller) I installed a 1" lowering kit in the front, and the bike feels about the same height, I can't tell the difference. Have fun with the upgrade!
An important thing to remember when looking at the overall height specs on the front or rear is... only 1/2 of the difference in the two tire sizes is the amount that bike will raise. Typicall rear 18" low profile metzeler's are less than1/2" taller than stock rear tires... this raises the back of your bike by less than 1/4". Anyone who tells you they can see that increase is probably being tricked by the axtra 1" of wheel showing under the bags in the rear.
