Default So I got ran over

Last November I got my first Harley. 2 months ago a young lady decided to try me out for a hood ornament. Now all is well and I can't complain because my 08 Electra glide standard got replaced with a 11 street glide yesterday. I've found a seat off a 07 Electra glide and was wondering if it would fit my new bike?

2008 was the first year for the 6 gallon tank. That's what makes the difference. 2008 will fit any newer bike. Your 2007 seat is a no go

97 to 07 has a tang in the front that plugs into a slot in the frame. 08 and newer is reversed, the seat has a hole instead of the tang. Left is 07 (and earlier to 97), the right is 08 to present

I bought a 09 seat when I had an 08. It would mount up, but it bowed right under my azz and was very uncomfortable. The 09 frame was changed and the seat pans are different.

I would say ultra_classic was right.
