Question about seat compatibility

2009 seats fit on 2008 bikes.
They went to the six gallon tank in 2008. 2007 is a five gallon tank, which changes where the seat would fit. For example, my Signature Series touring Solo Seat & Passenger Pillion came out in '09, for the '09 models, but it's listed as a compatable w/the 2008 bikes. Had a friend who bought it and installed it on his 2008, just fine.
