My engine was silent for over 30k then slowly developed the tick. Many are getting good results from changing all the stuff under the rocker boxes. Supports, shafts, and rockers. I've got a complete new set of everything that will be going in when I go 107". Keep in mind, there are also a lot of other things that can make this noise, but the rocker and shaft play seems to be gaining popularity.

I noticed mine got louder when I switched to Amsoil, and I read someone else switched from Amsoil to Mobil1 and his was quieter. The real question, has anyone tried adjustable push rods, and if so did it fix it?

I've done everything except the rockers/shafts/supports and still have hot engine tick. It all helped to a small degree, but the majority of the noise in my bike is in the rocker boxes, and I will assume should go away when I replace the rockers/shafts/supports.
