Default Am I crazy?

I use to own a 2011 Street Glide that I had put a ton work into making it "my own personal CVO". In February someone stole it and I went through hell with my insurance company before I was able to get my current bike, a 2014 street glide. It's been a few months and almost 4k miles on it and I'm having regrets.. The bike is just not what I was expecting. With the exception of the saddle bag lids, all the neat thing they came out with on the 14s that I originally thought was so cool, I now find really annoying. Even the subtle changes they made like lowering the front fairing, are really annoying for me and uncomfortable on long trips... So my question is, am I crazy for thinking about trading my new 14 street glide for a used 11 ultra limited? I know I will be comfortable on that bike and I feel like its one I can get a lot of years and miles out of, but I also feel a little crazy for considering this.

Sounds a bit odd...lol. You found nothing out of character for the machine before you bought it?

newer is not always better & it is only after trying something new that we can decide if we like it better or not, so do what makes you happy it's only money.

& yes you are crazy - we all are

Agree with every word, good advice. Yes, you are crazy, but who amongst us isn't?

You gotta be happy or you won't ride, and that's worse, get whatever bike makes you happy and looking forward to riding. And yes you are CRAZY we all are or we wouldn't ride.

Kinda of sounds like breaking up with an old girlfriend, moving on to a new one but can't get the old one out of your mind, selectively forgetting all the faults of the old girlfriend when comparing to the new girlfriend...

Okay, doesn't really sound crazy to me. I loved my 2006 Ultra a lot more then my 2010 and with the newer frame, bigger tires and motor, that shouldn't be the case. But my 'old' 2006 never had a single issue, never left me stranded along the road like this one, never had to replace the compensator like this one, never had a recall... I think three on my 2010 so far on this one... no, not crazy.

I suppose y'all are right, I am crazy and if I'm gonna be crazy at least I'm in good company.
I knew what changes they had made to the 14s but I didn't realize what those changes would feel like down the road.
I found a really good deal at a dealership that is known for doing good trades so I shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket, can't afford to right now anyways.
