Default Touring Model Recall

Just saw a news flash about Harley recalling over 60k touring models for a problem with front wheels locking up.

What gives, they finally going to replace our bad front bearings?

Chime in if you know what's going on.

REALLY?

READ the recall and stop trying to cause a panic.

Old news, the recall was done on mine 2 weeks ago.

That's the ABS brake line recall. one of the side effects is It causes the front wheel to lock up

DETROIT — Harley-Davidson is recalling 66,421 Touring and CVO Touring motorcycles from the 2014 model year because their front wheels can lock up without warning.

Motorcycles with anti-lock brakes built between July 1, 2013, and May 7, 2014, are included in the recall.

Harley-Davidson Inc. says the front brake line can get pinched between the fuel tank and the frame. That could cause front brake fluid pressure to increase, increasing the risk that the front wheel could lock up while riding.

The company knows of five crashes and two minor injuries related to the defect, which it discovered last fall through warranty claims.

Harley-Davidson will notify owners later this month. Dealers will replace the brake lines for free and attach straps to hold them in place.

Think this is an expanded recall to include all the ABS brake family.

The recall was just broadened to include more models.

I read a little history regarding this and it seems the MOCO is really proactive on it as the issue began to surface in Sept 2013 but they spotted the same problem at the York facility during an inspection in May.
I saw that on motorcycle.com I believe.

At my local dealer they were saying that they took care of all the bikes in the floor and the recall fix was a tie wrap. Not 100% sure this was the same recall however.
