Default Footboard Relocator Brackets

Looking for a bit more comfort to stretch out my legs. Anyone use the Kuryakyn relocator brackets that move the footboards forward 1" & out 1"? I've got the lower fairings on my 12 Ultra Classic and according to Kuryakyn they will not fit. Looks tight for space, but to me it looks like there should be an inch of space there.

Anyone had experience with these with the lowers in place?

Yes, they fit. Had them on my 09 Ultra, moved over to the 12 Ultra. Now on the 14SGS

Just added the soft brake +1 extended lever and had to add their 1" extension to clear the floorboard.

Now have 2" out and 1" forward.....LOVE IT!

Yup...was thinking about this combination...was going to be "plan B" if the brackets don't work.

Thx!

I just installed the brackets from Tallboys http://www.tallboyscycles.com/

It moved my floorboards 2 1/2 " down in the heal and 2" forward. When installed the floor boards are a bit angled for a more natural position for your feet and ankles. I LOVE the positioning now. Made the whole bike feel different and much more comfortable.
I'm 6'2" with a 33 inseam. It made all my hip pain go away and the need for a new seat as the tail bone pain is gone also.

I have a 2014 Ultra Limited, The down side to this kit on this bike is,

1. I had to cut a 2X3 inch section from lower fairing as the boards sit right where they are. ( they do send a template to accomplish this) But buying a brand new bike and having to cut out part of the lowers kinda unnerved me a bit. But it turned out great and I am very happy with the install.

AND

2. They do limit the angle you can corner a bit more. I read a lot of posts before buying the kit that said it did not make a difference. They do. Several occasions the front brackets has scraped on both sides. I don't consider myself an aggressive rider, But I have been know to tilt the bike in corners a bit more than some would. Its not such a difference from stock that I would consider changing back as the comfort is more important to me than the few times I might scrape.

I hope this helps.

Would pushing the boards out and forward a little create a turning issue?

I've used the V-Twin Goodies floorboard extenders on the last 4 Touring bikes I've had. The comfort level is greatly increased. It does reduce the lean angle before scraping, but I like to scrape in the turns, so that is a non-issue for me.

I know I'm attaching to an old post but this is my exact problem and need assistance b/c I can't get anyone here at the dealership to answer my question.

I'm 6'3, 34" inseam. Have a 2013 EG Classic. Purchased tall boy seat and had HD install the Kuryakyn Driver Floorboard Relocation Brackets For Harley Touring which I think pushed the floorboards 1 inch forward and 1 inch out. I also purchased the extender for the brake pedal and shift (forward and rear).

My problem is that when I ride my legs are in the 90 degree position, which makes for a lot of pain in hips when I have to stop or raise my legs to put back on floorboards.

Will this floorboard kit do from tallboys cycles do the trick to give me the room I need to alleviate the hip pain? I do not have the lower fairing but do have the crash bar and highway pegs attached to the crash bar.

Appreciate any advice you can give.

The Kurys works great and are the only ones I know that make them out 1" AND forward 1". Perhaps the other vendors might take note of this.
