I read the article in Bagger magazine too. I was hoping that someone had installed this light. 100bucks isn't bad if it really works.
Yeah me too, not a lot of cash but not gonna take the chance. for another $68.00 I'll be ordering the Truck Lite.............. hope it works out for whoevr gets one though......
What did they say in the write up? My concern would be if it's bright enough. Some of the LED to halogen replacement bulbs claim 80 watts, but they are not as bright as oem for whatever reason.
As far as Truck Lites - I can't get past them sticking out so far. I see them on bikes and it's not something I personally could get used to.
edit - Just looked at it on their web site. Won't work on the 14, but regardless, if it's hot enough to use a cooling fan I have to wonder if the Harley bucket would hold up.

Those look like they emit in one direction. Directly out from the LED cluster. In a large reflector housing, they would probably suck as they light would be sent to one part of the reflector and out from that point only.
I don't know anything about LED replacement lights, but working with computers, I can tell you that those little fans will sound like a damn turbine engine. Being that small, they have to run super high rpm to move enough air and they're typically pretty loud.
Have been reading up on these myself...............I cant afford the Day Maker and I dont like the Truck lite.
They are great at night but after having a friend who has the Truck lite ride behind me in the day time............No thanks.
I say that because at certain distances his Truck lite would blend in with the surrounding day light and I could not even tell if it was on. Did not occur all the time but at a few specific distances behind me I could not even see his lite.
I just received the LED H4 retrofit. Very bright white light and easy to install on my 06 Street Glide, the price was reasonable at $69.95 plus shipping.
