September issue of Baggers has a write up, but more on the install vs a true detailed comparison with stock. They did like it though and said much brighter. I was hoping to hear some real world experiences as well. For $100 sounds like a pretty good option.
Don't have a lot of info on the headwinds model, but did pick up a Truck Light Phase 7 (maker of the Kuryakyn Phase 7) from Ebay for $70. Install was as easy as changing the housing. Plugged right in and is VERY clear at night. The bright setting is obscene. Only tricky part is left turns on dark roads. Very straight, concentrated beam, so there's no glint like Halogens. Left turns aren't bad, just a bit darker. Still a great setup as far as I can tell. No real complaints.
Anyone have it? Stock headlight just burned out, looks pretty cool for only 100 bucks.
I read the short review in the recent Bagger mag. I'd say for $100 it would be worth a try. A $100 isn't chump change, but in the Harley world, it's small potatoes.
Guess I should create a profile so nobody thinks I am trying to sell these things.
I would try to find a truck lite phase 7 LED headlight on ebay, lowest I've seen is $168 for it and its a regular seller. I'm currently using the ddm hid and no complaints, it works but probably not the best of lighting. Currently debating if I want to do the phase 7 or possibly trade my bike street glide for a rocker c plus cash
