Riding in the hills Sat, I came around a curve and saw the doe making her way across the road. If you know about these girls, they are often not alone and often decide at the last minute they can make it in front of you. So I was slowing and looking up the hill for her companions when 2 glides came around the curve from the other direction. At the time when we should have exchanged the standard bike wave, I was still looking for the other deer to run across.
I just thought it was funny. What they thought I was looking at??
That's got to be confusing when you make a right turn.
Yup. I rarely ride with it...generally just when I first arrive at a get-together or sumpin'. It started out as a joke. It's mostly just for grins and giggles now. The few times I have ridden with it in a group, the other riders have said it is a slight distraction so I don't deploy when riding with someone. (It folds up behind the back rest.)
On the other hand, I did ride with it for about 250 miles on state and county highways from Kansas City to Omaha once, and I was surprised at how many folks waved back. I'm recall that almost all the bikers I met returned the wave, but I had some cops wave back...a farmer on a tractor...and a guy mowing his lawn with a push mower, too.
