I use the CB on my bike most of the time but I am getting ready to do a Solo trip to Canada and want to be able to receive and make phone calls on the bike.
My wife and I have the Sena smh10 mounted on 3/4 helmets and they work fantastic with the shields down but way to much wind noise with the shield up. I wonder what I'm doing wrong if others are having no problem with wind noise with 1/2 helmets.

Do you have the plastic clip on the mike under the sock. Also I'm setting behind a 12" windshield. My buddy sets behind a 10" and I don't hear any wind when I talk to him.
Maybe the shield being up is deflecting air to the mike. Can you remove the shield and try it?
