Looking for some help, installed Fuel Moto 2-1-2 ceramic headers and 4" jackpot slip-ons on a 2001 Road Glide Ultra to eliminate the cat and reduce the heat. Like the sound and all but the deceleration is beginning to be an issue. Don't mind the deceleration when down shifting, how ever I'm getting it by just coming off the throttle. Before you ask, yes I had it tuned by one of the best in my area and I'm using a SERT. I'm running pretty rich with the air to fuel ratio to also help with the heat issues. Someone mentioned tweaking the fuel off of throttle. Anyone had the same issue? Thanks

What kind of rumble are you talking about? My Streetglide 103 pops on decell at the same rpm slowing down every time, I kind of like it. Vance and Hines pipes and SERT tuner. I kind of anticipate the pops as I'm slowing down.
Straight thru headers/mufflers can exhibit some popping on deceleration. It can be tuned out to some extent based on type of tuner you have. I originally had PC5 but once I got my map for PV tuned in no longer detected any of this.
After I put on MGS true duals I have a rumble at about 2100-1800 rpm's on decel. I have had different slip ons and different tunes (PV)
As well as auto tunes and the rumble has stayed the same, seems like just the nature of the headers. I actually like it as it's not a decel popping.
It is going to make noise on decel just like downshifting....
It's the same thing.
It's called engine braking.... when the throttle is closed, the engine will seek to get back to idle, the momentum of the machine keeps the RPMs from dropping straight off, and that is where the noise comes from.
