The image below is just for instruction. The first column represents the throttle in the Off position. The column left of that shows the RPM.
This example shows No fuel being added by the PCV in that range. So when you let off the throttle, (between shifts or slowing down) you get the popping.

The following is just a suggestion.
First, make a copy of the map you are using.
On the copy, go in to the "0" (ZERO) column and add Fuel in increments of five (5) from RPM 1000 to 4000.
The PCV will add 5% fuel in this range and in that throttle position.
Re-name and save the file. Load it in the bike and ride it.
Take note of what RPM the popping if any is there.
Repeat the process.
This will eliminate the Decel popping. I ended up with adding 10 (ten) in this range on my bike.

Good luck!
i didnt reset the throttle position because it was already zeroed. since this post i have put about 150 miles on it and the start up is the same but the decel has gotten better. i just upped those values to 5. i'll see how that goes. yes i do push the kill s/w on and the start s/w on at the same time. it does help but not much at all

Anyone running the auto tune with the PCV? I recently installed it and it says after a ride you can view the time tables and accept the new values. Mine are just showing zeros?

2012 SG, screamin eagle heavy breather, catless stock head pipe, 3.5" slip ons, new plugs, new battery, pcV map 15-011-058
I have had this same issue on my 2012 Street Glide. I took mine off after a month. The motor would turn over slowly like the battery was weak, sometimes even backfire. I was told my battery was probably weak that since the PCV was piggy back tuner that it took a little more juice to turn motor. So it sits in a box in the toolbox. Feel like I wasted $300. I went back to my FL-Vieds until I get a Power Vision. If you learn a fix, let me know.

Good call Chiledog, I did forget to mention to do both front and rear cylinder maps when making adjustments.

PCV Throttle Position software to read 0% when bike is fully warmed up.
If it needs to be reset, make sure the bike is fully warmed.
This not only sets the 0 (zero) start point but also the Range/distance
your throttle travels.

If this is off, the bike is getting the wrong amount of fuel.
So if at idle your throttle is of by 10%, it could be trying to feed you bike the amount of fuel required to run at 20%. Or vise versus
Either flooding or starving if off.

RESETTING TPS:
With the engine on, click Reset, take and rotate/open throttle to the stop and close, then click OKAY.

Just my 2cents

Had the same problem. I kill bike with the kill switch on right handle bar. Then when starting turn on the ignition power switch center of bike. Make sure in neutral. Then turn on the kill switch and start immediately. Works good for me that way. Keith at fuel moto told me that would work and it does.

Do you mean with engine running or with ignition switch on? All this is new to me. I watched a video on this on youtube but they were using a dyno. Trying to understand all this.

i havent tried using the kill switch to kill the bike instead of the ignition s/w. i'll try that tommorrow. im looking at getting it dynoed but i wonder if getting it dynoed would help with this issue. its kind of a PITA shut down/ start up process to have to do every time
