I will take my hands off from time to time to stretch out , I have a buddy that rides no hands on his street glide everywhere he goes gets up to speed and lays back.

I go no hands quite a bit if I know the road and am by my self. I won't do it if the girl friend is with me because if she were to suddenly shift weight or something it could make me loose control.

We were just passing through Clinton Iowa last weekend and ran across a guy on his crotch rocket riding up the Great River Road with no hands. He road for a few miles in front of us that we before we stopped to get something to drink.

This is one of those things that you can get away with, most of the time! However, it's the tar snake, rock, animal etc that you don't see in time that will rise up, solidly bite you in the *** and be totally preventable!

Jeez, you guys must ONLY hang with Harley guys. That's the standard riding posture for the rice rocket guys around here. Its pretty much the way they all ride.

There have been several times my body would have had an intimate experience with pavement had I not had both hands on the bars. Some things happen so fast you don't have time to think, let alone reach for the bars. I have taken a stretch, or buttoned a jacket on the move, but never let go of the bars longer than needed for that, never with cars around, and always with a clear view for animals in the area.
