So I am not really looking for a debate on the safety of a single disc brake conversion vs. the stock set-up...
Just looking for recommendations on brake lines.
Wild1 says to use a +4" upper brake line with my Wild1 Beach Bars. But that is based on a stock caliper configuration. Since there does not appear to be a single brake line that maintains the 'stock' mounting location (bolting under the lower triple tree), does anyone have a solid answer on proper brake line length?
I would REALLY prefer to use a 2-piece line that has the 'hard' section that comes out from below the headlight...just for looks...but I don't think that's possible.
I'm using a 50" line on my 15" Santee Bonanza apes. I believe they have a 35" width. If your beach bars are close to that width, that measurement might get you in the ball park. Otherwise you're just gonna have to mock it up to get an accurate length. Good luck....
