Default Bagger Brace - Dogbone question

I finally decided to put on a bagger brace, so I am checking my dogbone to make sure its straight & not bent. Well it had a small bend on the curved front edge, something I could bend back with vicegrips, nothing major. The dogbone appears straight top & bottom and at the 90 degree welds to the frame, but I noticed one side is welded lower than the other by about 1/4" , I talked to bagger brace folks today and they said it must be bent, I've looked at this thing every which way and cannot see or feel a bend. So I wanted to know did anyone else run into this issue when they installed theirs? Would there be enough play in the pivot point to allow for this? BTW I measured the distance from the transmission to the bottom of the bone and it is the dead even ( for the width of the transmission that I could measure).
