$4500 in mods? I've invested less than $1K in my 2007 Street Glide since it was new.

The FLHTK is a touring bike. Just buy the thing and ride it. Long trips are much more memorable than mods.

Right on. I read somewhere that the average annual mileage of a Harley Touring bike is 1,500.

read the OP again... he increased his payments $50 and added 2 years to his load... he does not have the money to buy a bike - only the ability to get a loan.

the title of this post should be "pulled the trigger, then sucked the bullet back into the barrel"

Lol!

I would think returning a bike to the dealer would be almost as hard as the the physical act described in the metaphor.

Wow...way to be a "Debbie Downer." No need to blame OP for world's financial woes...he simply posted an example of personal reflection and change of mind. Sure you never experienced something similar...

I looked at a new Limited too. I have a 2012 model that I really like.
They've gone up over 4 grand in 24 months. Sorry, i can't see the value in them at around 28k.
