A buddy of mine has a wind splitter, and he likes it, but his wife/passenger doesn't. Just a thought if you ride 2 up.

I was looking at the HD online parts site and didn't see a 7.5" wind splitter for the '14s. Is it the same pn as the earlier 7.5" wind splitters? If so, what was the install like? Did it bolt right up? Or is it a new pn and do you have a link to it?

All depends on how far above the top of the shield your head is. Seat + Height etc.. makes all the difference in the world. I'm 6'1. With a C&C solo. Have no desire to even try another shield.

A friend of mine just bought a used Tri-Glide and it had a 7" wind splitter on it. He said it was fine solo, but his wife hates it, she had zero wind protection from it.

He ended up selling it and buying an LRS

I have a stock 10", and a 7" windsplitter for my 14 flhtk. With the stock seat, both myself and the wife likes the 10". With the trunk removed, I use a street glide seat. The 10 is too tall, even for me at 6'2. With that seat, I like the windsplitter, my wife however, does not.

I fixed all situations last weekend when I bought a 8.5" klock works. We now both like the shield in either configuration.
