Caused by lean condition required to pass epa requirments, add a fuel mangement device, SERT, PCIII ,thundermax or other and increase performance and power reduces heat by 60 degrees, other than that, buy some of those heat wings that fit under the seat.

I only rode the bike stock for 350 miles in November in NH, so it was too cold to tell if any issues when stock.
