I have a Ultra, just bought Chrome lowers and stock chrome Limited rims. Plan on having the rotors polished. As I am doing the front end all chrome I was thinking of going with a BLACK WALL tire to set off the chrome rather then the white strip.
Very interested in seeing pictures and or your thoughts.
It's up to the eyes of the beholder, but as a general rule-of-thumb in my opinion is blacks with mags and whites with wire spokes IF it's "that kind of bike" (older, classic, antique)
When I replaced the OEM blackwalls on my 07 Ultra I went with the wide whitewalls and really like the change in appearance. I'll be doing the same on the first tire change on my 2014 ultra.
Road Kings or other bikes with spokes, Wide White Walls all the way. Fairing bikes like Ultras, with mag wheels, black walls.
No tire can make a Harley look bad, but some just look better than others. Its all personal preference.
I switched from Dunlop 402s to Dunlop 491s when I chromed the front and rims on my 07 Ultra. Get a lot of comments about how well it looks with the raised white letters. Granted they last like Dunflops....but so be it.
