Jud cowley is the guy that the dealer sent my trike to. He sent it over to a automotive shop and had it dyno'd on a car dyno machine using his software and data. I talked to Jud and he does seem to be a nice guy. He was not aware of the problems that the dealer had with the pushrods. He is going out of town on vacation and I am suppose to go and see him after he gets back. Only problem is that I am suppose to be going to Eureka Springs next week and I really believe that my trike wont be able to make the trip. I found a dealership in Waco to do the dyno and I had it done there. I am still having the same problems after the dyno.
As much as I am sure they will hate to do it they need to open it back up and check their installation. It sounds like they might be a tooth off on the cam alignment.

All the dyno tuning in the world won't help if the install is incorrect..
Don't think it would have made those numbers with cam installed wrong. Possibly bad pushrod adjustment. You can run a compression test with the Compression releases disabled and it should be over 200 on both cylinders with the throttle blades blocked open. If both are over 200 and withing 10% of each other, probably ok. If one is way higher 30 pounds or so then good possibility that cam is advanced 1 tooth. If both are high then tooth off on main chain. Both low and no leaking valves then off tooth. It has happened, but with the numbers I doubt it. Also the rear cam is indexed to the main gear so it won't be off by itself. Another thing is to check and make sure your O2's are in the right cylinder. The front has a gray plug under the side cover and the rear is black. The plugs are polarized so they can't be swapped and the sensors have to be swapped in the pipe. Other thing make sure the vacuum cap is not missing on top of the throttle body. You can send me a pm with your email address and or your phone number and I will be glad to help. Can email you a map that will work. You will need a way to get it installed unless you have the software and cables. If you want a call give me a window to call you in and will do. I am only 200 miles east of you also.
yes he is. Thanks Mac. Mac told me to disconnect the 02 sensors and see if the problem went away. I did that and he was right. My trike run like a new one. I called the Dallas harley dealer just to make sure that running with the sensors disconnected would not cause any problems and they suggested that I bring it in and let them install new sensors and I did just that. So far that seemed to take care of the problem. Keeping my fingers crossed. These guys at the dealership are a little stunned at the fact that the sensors were bad and they could not detect that. Anyways all in all those guys worked we with me more than a lot of dealerships would have. I was really getting upset at them for awhile because of the fact that this was taking so long to get resolved. The one thing that made me the most angry was that I told them when this problem first occured to change or at least check these sensors. All they would tell me was the sensors are good. So a lesson learned is keep on pounding on these people and maybe someone will finally listen. Jessie is the only person up there at the dealership that would listen to me. As for the service manager and the so called assistant service manager, they don't know and they sure don't care about what is going on with motorcycles. I believe that if I were the business manager and I looked at all of the time and money they wasted on this issue that I would be looking at doing more traning with his employees. Again thanks Jessie and most of all thanks MAC.

You are welcome. If it starts messing up again on your trip it is easy enough to unhook them again. Still need to get that lean low end fixed first chance we get.
Mac
Sure thing. When the tech installed the sensors yesterday he told me that he richened it up a little. I will get in touch with you after I get back and we will meet up.
