Allstate Insurance covered my tow just a couple days ago when I broke down trying to get home from Sturgis....Now, had the tow been from the middle of nowhere, it might have a been a different story, fortunately I was only about 5 miles from the shop.
Yeah the AAA RV Plus- Expensive but I think it covers a 200 mile tow- wherever you want to go. And no limits to numbers of vehicles there. Boat trailer, bike trailer, cars, trucks, RVs and as many bikes as you got. Real savings on hotel rooms helps defray the cost.
AMA for me. A few $ gets you terrific roadside assistance, a magazine and you support the only rider advocate organization I know of. I recently needed a tow and it worked without a flaw.
Looking for a good/great roadside assistance provider. Someone who will pick-up & fix or whatever the bad **** happens no matter where you are in the lower 48 + Alaska & Canada
Any suggestions?
You've had plenty of responses here for peoples' favorites for towing. For the fix part of your question, you may want to see if you qualify for the HD ESP which includes towing and fixing. I forget the exact details, but if your bike is less than 7 years old and has less than 75,000 miles on it, you can purchase a plan to give you piece of mind on the road.
I've had two tows... one from Hanksville UT to Grand Junction CO 158 miles electrical short, the other from West Yellowstone to Butte MT about 150 miles flat tire.
