I know, apples and oranges comparison. Anyone ever bought a Danny Grey Airhawk Longhaul XL for there SG. Does it sit any lower than stock SG seat. Mainly looking for something the wife can seat comfortable on. I did demo a sundowner and we didn't like it. I also know about Mean City Cycles as a option. This is a high price seat and none of the dealers have any to demo. Would you buy again if you bought one?
No info on the Long Haul, I do have the Big Solo that has about 25,000 miles on it. Required about 500 mile brake in, I have 4 different seats
1. The orginal that I had reshaped, passenger widened. and double memory foam added by Mean City Cycles.
2. The Big Solo 95% of the time. I'm good for about a 300 mile day on the seat.
3. The HD Hammock, for long hauls with the wife
4. The Street Glide seat for short runs with the wife, as the Hammock requires me to put on the tour pak because it's so damn ugly.
The orginal modified seat is the only one that hasn't been on the bike in the past 4 years.
It would be hard to find a higher quality brand of seats. Hope this helps
