Just finished up putting some 14'' Carlini Gangster Apes on my 2012 RoadKing,I gotta say i am very please . Only hiccup i had was failing to deburr the hole where the wires go. The service from the folk at Carlini was excellant as well.
Funny how any little edge will catch the wires/casings and stop progress. I shredded a few holes in the ends and had to shrink-wrap/fix...it was a beotch!
The Gangster apes were made for the Road King! I went with the Heritage style bars and the Sundowner seat to get rid of the backache inherited with the stock bars and seat setup. While a "cheaper" way out, I'm thinking that it wasn't extreme enough. Somewhere down the line I'd consider the 14's in 1.5" TOTALLY internally wired and cabled.
