Does anyone have any quick ways to check for an exhuast leak?
I swapped out the stock header pipes for a pair of BUB dresser duals, and installed my SE slip ons back on. I also added a Ness big sucker.
Every now and then there is a small pop on decel, but more I hear what sounds to be an exhaust leak and I am not sure if it is just comming from the exhaust or the big sucker.
WhenI replaced the the pipes, I installed the new gaskets that came from BUB andI don't see any soot around the flanges or anything.
The bike runs fine, it just sounds like there is a leak.
Anyone have any good ways to check without taking the pipe off, I heard someone talk aboutWD40.

on autos I sometimes use silicone lubricant spray.
Spray where you think the leak is. If you get the silicone on th eleak it will either stop the leak momentarily or start to bubble...sort of like soapy water on a tire leak. The silicone has a very high flash point...more than say wd40 or so.
I found mine last year using one of those big long 12"lighters that areused for the fireplace etc. You can turn down the flame so it is pretty small but it will still blow around, or out if there is a leak..
