Guys, what's the best sounding slip on for an 08 Ultra, with stock breather and exhaust pipes.
Looking for that deep rumble without being overly loud. Price also matters.
I have been checking out sound bites on the web.
So far V&H 4" twin slash rounds sound the best, but it's hard to tell listening online.
I don't live near a lot of other bikes to compare.
Thanks in advance.
I started with PowerMaster slip ons w 2" baffles. Then I got caught up in the noise crap and swapped out the 2" for 2.5" baffles. Rode like that for 2 years but the noise was killing me. Dropped back down to the 2" baffles. Found a pair of used SE slip ons here in the for sale classifieds and they are perfect. Nice low rumble without killing my ears on long rides.
I did the same thing when I got my RK and just added slip ons. Went with the twin slash rounds and I love them. Nice deep rumble. Great price on these too compared to others. Can't wait to finish the stage 1 but since I'm so happy with these, that has become last on my list of mods.
If you like the Rhineharts, you can get a good set of KO's on fleabay for about 150 - 200 bucks. I have a set on mine right now. They look and sound great. Unfortunately for me, I like my bike a bit louder. I have a new set of SO's that will be here tomorrow.
Forgot to mention, check out Law abiding biker on youtube and on his website. He does a really nice review on the twin slash rounds. Ordered mine through Fuel Moto. Quick delivery and really easy install.
