I have a RK and I'm lowering the license plate mount below the tail lamp. I would like to replace the bar with the brackets with a smooth bar. It is my understanding that this is the same part as a street glide. This is the grab bar that also supports the rear fender. If anyone could give me a part # it would be appreciated.
Bill918, the part you want is the chrome fender support tube; and you can get one by using the WTB portion of the forum (I did) from Street Glide owners who installed the HD Stealth Luggage rack; the part you want is the chrome tube that the SG owner removes in order to install the Stealth Luggage rack. HTH. I am surprised the part no. posted above has an -04 parts designation since the other SG parts fender parts have -06 designations (facia, LED light kit, etc.). When I did mine about 3 months ago, I recall list price on the chrome tube was almost $60 and bought mine via the WTB for $25 plus $5 for shipping--it was perfect.
