Default RC Components Repeat, or Rinehart?

So, I had a set of RC Components slip-ons on my last Road King, and loved them. They sounded great, not obnoxious at all, and didn't bother me during long rides. I've gotta do something about the stock pipes on my new bike . . . and naturally, I KNOW I like the RCs, so I'm thinking about them. However, I've got a buddy with 4" Rinehart slip-ons, and they sound pretty damn hot. I've taken his bike for a spin, but not for long, just a short hop around the block. So, I'll ask the masses.

Does anybody find the Rineharts to be too much during long days on the road? I like loud, but I don't want to be selling new pipes on Ebay after my first long trip with them installed. LOL!!

Thanks in advance!

If you like the RC's and they held up well then I say show some brand loyalty and stick with them.

Thanks. I'm leaning that way. Those pipes were great, the chrome was great, etc.

I've had both, I got a real good deal on a set of 4-inch Rineharts for my latest bike so that's what I'm using. I can't tell that much difference in the two, I'd go with the best deal. I did a 400 mile ride a couple weeks ago and never paid any attention to the exhaust noise so they must not be that loud for what it's worth.

Unless you find a smoking deal on the Rineharts, I'd stick with the RC's. I'm still lovin my RC's after a 900 mile day riding back from Maine.

With sound being so subjective, it is very hard to say if you would like one set over another for long distance.

I have the 4" Rineharts on my Street Glide (With V&H Power Dual head pipes), and think the sound is very good.
I can ride all day and not be tired of the sound. I can hear the stereo system just fine at highway speeds too.

But the next guy just might find them too loud, or too quiet.

Ive got 89,000 miles on my 4" Rineharts. Got an 1100 mile day and a bunch of 600+ mile days two up. No issues touring. I do wear earplugs and the sound is subjective. I would get the Rineharts

I had a set of the RC's which I liked but I ended up going with the V & H Hi outputs. The RC's were a bit too loud for me and the V & H's give it a nice low rumble.

I have RCs and I am totally in love with them. I also have a Fullsac DX pipe and the sounds is unreal. The service manager at the dealer said it was the best sounding bike he has ever heard. That may be a bit of a stretch but they do sound great.
