99 rk oil leak/ connector for the stator/regulator
I have a 1999 road king. It has a weird oil leak can't seem to find where its coming from. I have oil that drips once in a while under rt floor board
area where voltage regulator wires plugs together. It almost looks like its coming out of plug which is impossible. I wipe it off and there it is again a few hours later again. i just found 2 small nicks in the wire and the oil is coming from the inside? how and the hell its that possible?
can i use wrap cable and heat it up ? if oil gets to the connector i may and it up with a short am i right?
thank you for any input
some one else told me that is the oil coming from the primary going into the cable sheath and they said that HD addressed this issue before with that bulletin
