Just installed a true dual kit along with a PCIII. NO SPEEDOMETER! F-n thing wont work and is kicking out a "P0505 Loss of idle speed control" code. The bike stalls when you come to a stop but starts back up and idles no problem. I disconnected the PCIII and the speedo still does not work.
Wow, didn't have that happen to me when I recently installed true duals and the PCIII on my bike, but mine is a 2000 and yours a 2006. I'm not familiar with the '06's -- do they have the same analog speedometer I've got, or is yours digital? Did you remove the negative terminal on your battery before you started so's as not to blow a fuse or something?
Don't know where you bought your PCIII, but you might want to conact them or Dynojet and ask for help.
Surely someone with lots of experience can help here.

Did you disconnect the "master" fuse before you started the install?
Thanks for the info. No, I did not have the battery disconnected or the master fuse removed. From what I am reading, it could be a fuse or the speed sensor. Going to check the fuses tomorrow and make sure the speed sensor is clean also.
uggggghhhhhh.
didnt disconnect the negative battery cable...
seems like that is the number 1 instruction on every thing to to with a bike.
oh yea...we real men dont read no stoopid instructions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It says in the instructions that you need to disconnect the battery. You also may need to set the idle after installing pipes and other things. Also after setting the idle you need to unhook the battery for a while to let ecm reset. I would just try unhooking battery fora half hour and try agian. Hope it helps.
From all of your advice, I went and checked the fuses, all good. Pulled the speed sensor... BAM! It was not connected on other end. Couldnt see it in my poorly lit garage last night but after pulling sensor out it was clear as day what the problem was. Most likely used the "id10t" grease by mistake instead of the dielectric stuff that it says to use in the instructions. Zipped it back up, took for a ride, perfect...
Thank you to all for your help. This forum rules!!
I just went and reread the instructions that came with my PC111 and all it said was the ignition must be in the OFF position, it says nothing about disconnecting the battery.
