I don't see hardly any RK's with retro colored lights so I went for the change and I am liking it. Don't really need the brights at night with these shields as they light up very well plus I always have my driving lights on day and night.
Gotta be seen coming and going for my safety right!
I have these exact covers from Cee Bailey's on my scoot, in the amber color. I really like them, and I get comments for being seen. And that's a good thing.
I chose to do mine with krylon stained glass paints. No small stick on dots to be seen under covers. Of course more permanent but i like the result. I do get noticed as no one uses fog lights anymore unlike the 70s and early 80s when every car and truck had them. Very classy retro look with the visor surrounds

Yeah i don't like the round 'stickems' either but I dig the retro look. Thinking of doing some kind of full ring mod????........Another winter mod on the list-ha!
I thought about doing it like you did but I didn't want to make my leds permanent yellow but your look great. How many coats of paint is that?
I think 5 to 6 light coats. One can did the set easily. Mine are the stock housings so i figured i could replace easily if didnt turn out. Ended better than expected as cant tell its painted. Dries smooth to the touch so feels like glass. I buffed lightly by hand after dry with wax to protect from bugs. Cleans up perfectly
Looks great, tonetls! I'm a big fan of that look. (I run amber sealed-beam bulbs in my 2002 RKC). I guess with new bikes, the passing lamps now use LED bulbs, so it sounds like those yellow shields would do the trick. What are they made out of... Is that some type of a vinyl material? Just curious in case I'd ever have to go that route on a future scoot.

What color# did you use? to get those results. There are a couple of different yellow/amber colors now?
Thanks for any more info you have.
