That's because the coolant leak issue is behind us. It was a simple fix, the filler neck. All the new bikes have the re-enginered fill necks, the early bike owners were notified and bike updated. Not saying nobody could ever have a issue, just saying that claims of water head issues is old and now false. My bike is proof of this claim.the wet heads are well designed great bikes.
I see a lot of people that DON'T own Twin-Cooled bikes in this thread convinced that there are still widespread leaking issues.
I see the few of us that DO own Twin-Cooled bikes in this thread that are convinced the issue was solved permanently six months ago with the new filler neck.
Where are all the owners of still leaking, Twin-Cooled bikes that have the new filler neck? I haven't seen them complaining on this forum. I haven't seen them in my HOG group. I haven't seen them in the service department at my dealer.
From what I've looked at, there's one plaintiff, and his attorney has filed a motion for class action. For those of you unfamiliar with the process, the parties get to argue over this, and then the judge will decide whether to make it a class action.
Never buy first-year vehicles. You are basically paying to be the real-world Beta testers for the new product. No amount of time in R&D and lab/road testing by a few engineers can ever simulate real-world riding/driving conditions and time on the road by thousands of people who use the product ever day.
There are kinks with every new design and many of them only get worked out when consumers discover them and the manufacturer realizes there is an issue that needs to be addressed.
Let others buy the new products and let the manufacturer work out the kinks before spending money. Wait at least two seasons.

9 weeks and 4K miles mine has not leaked a drop. Nice color BTW!
I think HD did try to settle with the guy. They offered him a Motor Clothes gift card good for one free t-shirt and a dog collar, as well as an extension of his HOG membership for one season.
There are 2 kinds of people. Those who expect more for their money, and a sucker born every minute.
Spend a ton of cash on a crappy product and then fix everything yourself instead of complaining falls under the sucker category. If the plaintiff bought his bike in Mass it wouldn't have been a problem. The dealer would have had to give him his money back and take back the pos.
Between the HD quality and value issues and the attitudes of the "real bikers" it's no wonder my generation isn't going HD. I'm less interested in the Iron every time I see a comment from a "real biker"
