Default Almost home!

Haven't posted since I left the good ol' US of A last year, but I will soon be back home!! My problem? I REALLY want to ride my scoot when I get back!! My question is, about taking it out of storage. What all do I really need to check before I get it on the road? I am gonna be doing a full maintenance on it as soon as I get to my next station, but I am going to have to ride it there while my wife drives the Uhaul with her car on the trailer. Unfortunately I won't have the time to put it through a full inspection till I get there, but I will have 1 day to check the important things, load everything up, and hit the road. Thanks for your input guys!!

Air up tires, quick visual check, looks like a new bike. Take a quick ride around the neighborhood to make sure it feels ok. If you have some time just drain the oil from the crankcase and replace what comes out, maybe 2 or 2.5 qts should do. Be careful riding, you haven't ridden for a while, and good luck and welcome home.

Check your battery charge. Check your tire pressures. Check your fluid levels. Check your lights and turn signals. Fire her up and let her warm up to operating temperature then take a gentle ride and check your brakes.

Thanks for your service.
