I have a 2000 electra glide classic. When i got my insurance card back it said that it was a shriner bike. It has no badges saying so but when i looked up the vin number it says so too. I just want to know what the difference is. I am sure one of you can help.
did you get to take it for a 500 mile test ride one weekend by chance?
I have a Fire Fighter ed. and they are called shriner bike but the only color I could get was Red I tried to get another color but the said NO. I don't think Police and Fire Fighter bikes were made until after 9/11.
I had a 2002 FF edition road king, that was the first year they offered the FF edition. Don't know about the Peace Officers edition. My road king was red, ppg porche guards red.
I have a new '14 FF edition and had a choice of red or black. I chose black. Both of those bikes were titled as Shriners.
The Firefighter editions are also "Shrine" editions, at least that is what all my paperwork says. I am pretty sure the Police Officer bikes are also titled with the "Shrine" designation.
I had a Blue 2010 Peace Officer Special and the title also said "Shriner" but if you looked on the gas tank it had the badge for the Peace Office Special.....never really thought about it. Title matched the vin.......all I cared about. LOL

I believe there is a difference between a Shriner and a Shrine , My '10 RK is listed as a shrine, FF edition. FWIW .. I'm not a FF but bought the bike new in honor of...and found out I wasn't supposed to be able to own it.
