Default shriner edition?

I have a 2000 electra glide classic. When i got my insurance card back it said that it was a shriner bike. It has no badges saying so but when i looked up the vin number it says so too. I just want to know what the difference is. I am sure one of you can help.

Only difference is the color. Is yours white? I think they do purple now but for a long time the only white HDs were cop or Shriner.

For some reason they come with over 500 miles "new".

JK,just badges and color options are the only difference.

If it's blue then its most likely a Peace Officer edition. Back then the special badging was purchased separately and placed on the console. Shriner, Peace Officer and Firefighter editions are all VINd as Shriner.

You can get a Shriner in any color.

The "Special Colors" are ONLY available to Shriners, but a Shriner can order a Shrine VIN in any color

I wasn't aware that they could get any color with a shriner vin. Just always assumed it had to be the special color

They're pretty much the same as the other HD Touring bikes, except they have special steering system that only allows you to do figure 8s in a parade.

It's one of the secrets.

And I think you're right, the Peace Officer and Firefighter I believe are also titled as Shriners.
