Default Guards

I dumped my bike without them and scraped up the saddlebag latch, dumped it with them, no damage, I'm a fan of vertical and the rails.

Those guards become very functional the first time your bike falls over in the garage or at the gas station. It will save you the price of a new bag (or a paint job).

I have a set of saddle bag guards that I would be willing to trade for a set off of a street glide. mine are off of a 2012 ultra classic

My RKC has never been on its side but I'm still very glad I have the guard rails. I bought a '14 Limited last weekend and I'm sure I'm going to add them soon.

I picked up a set of nostalgic rails off HDF classifieds. Was always on the fence too, but hey for half price... now Im on the fence and have a set. LOL. Depends on what side I'm looking at and the angle...you know.

Also... even though they are specifically for my bike, I had to cut the saddlebag support reinforced corner gusset in order to bolt them on.

I love mine. To me they are what makes a Harley a work of functional art. I am sad they are using them less, and decreased the amount of light bars, and fender guards. To me the Rushmores look more like a metric, now. I bought mine used, so I didn't have to pay extra for lid guards, tour pack guards, which come in handy for bungeeing.
