Who looks "through" a windshield?
Not me, right over it is where I be.
Interesting, never have to look down to see where or what your front wheel is going through or around? No worries, the LRS shield works great for applications such as yours.

LOL! I do for over the last 1M miles.
BTW That's a 18" F4 tinted windshield on my RG for the last 3 yrs. F4s are made out of polycarbonate, hence why they're scratch resistant. No scratches on mine but I do have some stone or debris pits in mine, after 40K miles. Hence why I prefer to look through rather than over a windshield.
I have the 7" LRS with recurve and didn't notice any distortion when looking through the top edge. Know the 8.5" Klock Werks flare, that is distortion when looking through the curved area!

The polycarbonate does not make it scratch resistant, it's the coating they put on. The coating is the same thing that goes on eye glasses. Polycarbonate is just Lexan, the same thing that all MC wind shields are made from. Also airplane wind shields are made from it also.
Just put a 7" LRS recurve ultra on my TG and love it. No distortion....F4 is a nice shield but expensive. The value and service of the LRS is hard to beat. I also look over the shield.
Very interested in this shield, did u purchase the light or dark tint? I am also 6'1" and currently have the windsplitter 6.5" on my 14 street glide and thinkin about buying the f4. I really like the looks of the dark smoke windsplitter but cruising at 70 mph or more on the freeway sometimes the wind in my face gets to be too much. Sounds like the 8" f4 provides great wind protection for a 6' tall rider?
