would you do different if you had a do over?
Adam
My friends are always telling me that I should look at the '15 Road Glide, or the 14/15 Street Glide Special, but I am happy just the way I am set up now. I can ride an average of 350 a day for two weeks or hop over the Mountains in the pouring rain to do a little Eastside desert cruise on an otherwise wet Westside weekend.
My Jackpots are my music, new tires and brake pads, fluid changes every 4500 or so and life is good. Heated grips backed by heated liner in gloves in the saddlebags gets me home in comfort if the weather changes too radically. Rain gear failed me in Yellowstone so I have new rain gear. Is that a do over?
LRS Elite screen lets me see the road in bad weather and while frequently covered with creek crossing swarms of bugs, the helmet and my face get nary a one. The screen works great in Yellowstone downpours, even the ones that seem to last for days.
Having friends that like to ride especially long days don't seem an issue with them. Neither do various overnight accommodations seem to bother them. While getting too old to really enjoy sleeping on a camping pad, it happens and works out okay.
Guess the only do over would be the ex-misses...I do not mean with her again. Perhaps a more gentle, more adventurous and less gold digger version. I came close the second time, looking for number 3.
