Default New Rider

New rider and new to this forum. Just bought a 2014 Streetglide. Couldnt afford new exhaust right out of the box so went with VH slip ons. Definitely sounds better than stock. Thinking of purchasing Cobra Chrome Power Flo Air Intake..a buddy reckommended..pros cons? also do I need a Fuel management pack as well? If so any reckommendations?

Thanks
Stay safe
JP

Congratulations and welcome to forum! You will find a lot of good information here. Should answer all of your questions. When you can, be sure to post a pic of your SG.

Congrats and welcome!

But.....

Pics or it didn't happen....

The FIRST thing I buy for a new bike, performance wise, is a tuner, then exhaust and intake. Personally, I won't even run "slip ons" until I have fuel management.

Welcome ~ first and foremost, just ride. Don't rush into any purchases. Do your homework, find what you like and buy when you can. In the mean time, just ride.

This is the best advice you could get right now. Hang around, read. The number of exhaust, air cleaner, tuner threads can be really over whelming. Put some miles on your ride before you start spending your cash. There's no hurry. We'll still be here to help you spend your money!

Welcome, and ride safe

David

Welcome to the forum!

No need to rush into purchasing upgrades. Get out there and ride to get a good feel for the bike, meet up with some others and you can check out what is on their bikes to see what kind of set up you might like and go from there.

the sg is pretty nice stock i.e. sound power etc.
Take your time and figure out what you like ( as per above posts). Too noisy may not be for you on long rides. Several riders have purchased pipes that are too loud and had to replace after painful ( to the ear) longer trips.
Anyway good luck and have fun. You picked a top harley. Wear it out.
