^ that's pretty crazy! Amazes me sometimes how much people get to caught up in the phones and FB when they should be watching the road. Kids these days.
And now matter how diligently you ride, this can still happen:
I cussed a guy at a red light yesterday. Was texting and swerving into my daughters lane and about run her bike off the rd. we hit a red light and I tore into his ***
Great job, BRK, going to your escape route AND paying attention to what's goin' on behind you at the same time! We just gotta ride like we're invisible and not out ride our skills and competence levels, that's all...this is a good example of that.
As I read this thread, I look out the window just as a car blows the STOP sign while on a cell phone and never looked to the right. Sad to say, but I believe this is the way things are going remain.
I had a lady that wanted to take the next exit, the problem was she was in the middle lane, I was in the slow and she moved over on me and I was even with here front wheel a 65 MPH.
I finely got her attention when I put a major dent in the hood of her black Lexus with the bottom of my fist. Still doing 65 MPH
She cut the wheel to get away from me and almost went under a semi truck trailer in the fast lane.
Maybe she'll stay off her cell phone while driving now.

Thats what happened to me back in February, 'cept it was a pick up truck that came out from behind a building at the corner, on the wrong side of the road, at 5:40 a.m. doing just over 50 mph. I'm very lucky to be here and be able to bitch about my injuries.
I have custom dynamics LED t/s running lights on me SG. I added plasma rods to the rear and a truck-lite LED head lamp. Also added conventional driving lights to the front...intentional to provide off color and different look. Put an air horn on for additional sound.
all this and I still feel people don't see me. It's a crazy world.....definitely a me/my world where I am the only one who matters. Everyone else look out for me.......
