well after three years I have had the itch to get back on a Harley....back in 11 two of my riding friends got killed by dumb a$$es in cages and kind of made me think..as I was getting older and fixing to be a grandpa. for the first couple of years I didn't miss riding as I had other things to keep me occupied. but back in the spring I started looking at used bikes and looked at a few, and the bride even wanted me to consider a Goldwing, went and looked at one but no way was I going that route...went to a couple dealers in the area and on Labor Day bought a 14 Limited..i was nervous as crap when I picked it up and drove the 30 miles home..but hey it was like I had never stopped riding..what a thrill it was to ride the back roads home..the Limited is a nice bike....happy to be back on the forum, and look forward to reading all the good and bad experiences....
Never discount the loss of friends on 'bikes, since it's happened to all of us - keep them in your memory.
My wife's a 12x Grandma (Hebrew "Savta"), but I refuse to act like a Grandpa (Hebrew "Saba"). See my Avitar - our youngest foster son! "Get Busy Living".
I'm sure you'll be happy with your new bike. Glad to see you again.
Welcome back Brother. I know exactly what you felt, I just got back in the saddle this year I pick up a 2010 TK limited in June and that first ride was all most as good as well you know. This is my fifth HD and my last one was a new 1974 Super Glide you do the math. Also a proud Grandfather of three beautiful girls. Ride safe and have fun.
