I need to know if there is something to stop the updraft wind on an Ultra Classic .
I love riding my new Ultra , but the updraft into my face is bad , looking for a wind
deflector or something . If i have to live with it , i will. Thanks.
Way back years ago I had the same concern.Everthing I tried and everybody suggested did not work.Until this post I had forgotten all about it.After a while you won't notice it.
updraft? i haven't noticed anything like that. if i smoked, i could even do so with no problem. I have factory lowers, side shields and windshield. I'm 5'9", so maybe it has something to do with what your bike has installed and how tall you are? however, the wife on the back catches most of the wind since her seat is a bit higher than the riders.
i'm not too worried about it , it definitely wont keep me from riding , i was just wondering if there was a way to stop it . I do smoke , and it does help me some , because it takes the ashes away from my face , that is a plus . Thanks anyway.
Yeah, my 2000 RK has the air dam on it. I removed it for a while and there is a difference in the amount of air that hits you without it.
I think HD must've realized that it does work, makes sense to have it on the bike, and therefore should be made an accessory instead of given away free with every FL model.
I assume with the Ultra you already have the lowers on it and the wings on the fairing? You can also install a better shield like the cee bailey with a curve in it.
