Last year for the factory installed baffle was 2000, and they sold the chrome one to replace the stock black one.

Now they sell the chrome one because it isjust needed. (got to love marketing)
You can actually still get the stock black one. The part number is 58520-79A and it is obviously a little cheaper than the chrome one. I put the black one on my '06 Vivid Black Street Glide because I didn't want the chrome sticking out like a sore thumb.

You'll also need to either get three 1/4" -20 bolts or order the stock self-tapping screws that came with the stock unit in 2000. The self-tapping isn't actually needed, but it helps to remove the paint from the inside of the bolt holes.

The fork baffle really does work to reduce the wind buffeting in your face , it keeps it down under the tank and I feel it also adds to the airflow for cooling too. Besides it keeps your feet warm too.

I saw the picture above on the MoCo's website, but it is not a good one. Anyone got a better one?

Peace,

I just got back from a ride after installing the fork baffle on my 07 Ultra, and I still get a lot of buffeting. It seems to be coming up from the lowers. Sure would be nice to get rid of it.
