I want to install a lay down led taillight on my 2014 ultra and was wonder which one is better between the custom dynamics or the Harley Davidson one. I don't want any crazy flashing or turn signals, I just want a led version of what I have . Any input is appreciated.

I think the HD one is awesome. VERY bright. The style of the LED's matches the tour-Pak and fender tip lights exactly too.

CD manufactures their lights. HD goes to a 3rd party to make them. Big difference.
I have a variety of CD stuff on my bike (front signals, plasma rods) but I still think the H-D taillight is higher quality than the CD taillight. I've had those on past bikes and while OK, they are not as nice as the H-D plus if the OP has an Ultra, the LED style and pattern matches which looks sharp IMHO.
HD uses a outside manufacturer to make most of their parts but the thing to remember they are made to HD's specifications for the particular bike its going on.
