What is the real main differences between 2012-2013 103 vs the 2014 103 high output engine.
Thanks for the info.
Cam is different. 2014 high output has more TQ and HP than the other standard 103..... The HO motor is VERY SIMILAR in TQ and HP to a regular 103 with a SE255 cam.... I said similar, not the exact same

I was told my 2013 103 with a stage 1 and 255 cams has a slight advantage over the HO. I know my dyno #s not the HO.
I had a 2012 RG that I installed 255 cams in. The mid range feels very similar on my 14 ULTRA, ie; passing power, roll on etc. I have not done stage 1 yet, so it doesnt have that crispness that the 2012 had.
I actually preferred the way my 2012 RG ran as opposed to my 2013 RK CVO with the 110. IMO the extra heat the 110 put off was not worth the trade for another 10-14 HP. My 110 dyno at 104. I didn't dyno the RG, but the tech said he figured it at about 90-93 and he was only one off on the RK when he guessed at it.
The 14's have upgrded cams and boost in compression ratio, the twin cooled motors boost the compression a little more to 10.1-1 and with a free intake, slip ons, and xied's run great and still return 42 mpg. The HO 103's run great!
The cam and air cleaner as far as I know. I can feel the difference between my SG with the "new" engine vs the Switchback I traded in. There is a bit of a weight difference as well.
