Screw locations are different, different shaped cover.
Your eye's are probably a lot better than mine but when I look at the pictures of the standard primary cover vs. the narrow primary cover from the H-D website, the screw holes sure look the same to me. But the website also states that only specific derby covers will fit the narrow primary cover.
I like the concept but will have to see how an Ultra Low actually feels. Might be one of those things that looks good on paper but the actual end-result isn't worth the cost.

I took a look at this at the dealer. The derby cover is quite a bit larger. My guess is that they increased the diameter of the derby cover and put the clutch basket "in" the derby area. Now you shouldn't need to remove the entire primary cover to access the clutch spring. The entire face of the clutch basket should be right there when you remove the derby cover.
That would be good for an inch..... Inch and a half....
I certainly don't have a way of verifying, but at the 2015 reveal at my dealer they said the the narrow primary cover fits the earlier models. I sat on the 2015 Low and it was narrower... but not worth $450 to me... but I'm long legged.

It's not that... I've seen it in person.

OK, my original concern still lives, then.
The adjuster on cable clutch bikes is directly behind the derby. My flat derby cover has the scratch from my 2007 to prove it.
They cannot simply change the outer and the cover in an inch and a half. I see where they can re-shape it around the basket, but the end of that adjuster isn't going to change.

From the Harley website:
Fits 07-later Touring and Trike models. Installation requires separate purchase of narrow derby cover, derby cover gasket and primary gasket. Chrome is Original Equipment on 15-later FLHTCUL and FLHTKL models.
Weird that in the description, they give no specifics regarding the reduced size or oil capacity compared to OEM. Why not state exactly how much narrower it is and whether it reduces oil capacity?
For $450 plus the cost of a special derby cover and gasket, you could have your seat lowered, memory foam added and the nose end narrowed about 3 times........as far as heat, wear long pants when you ride....just my opinion....
