Trikes sold in EU,not only in France,have the headlight with the ugly plug on it but as soon as the vehicle gets registered (plates) the ugly plug disappears.

Take a look at the picture of the 2015 Tri Glide Trike. It looks like it also has these turn signals and aux lights.

Strangely even the US model in the ad has the chrome plug on the headlight.

Well spotted, although the 360 picture shows headlight and normal solo spots. The Freewheeler has a single headlight with no 'spots', although that isn't available in Europe.

I finally got to see a UK-spec Tri-Glide yesterday and can confirm that it has that strange two eyes and a blink light arrangement. Very odd! That chrome blank looks like an old chrome hub-cap! I also admired the new 6-pot front calipers, half hoping they might provide a brake upgrade for solos, but they are split 4/2, front/rear, so no luck.
